So you want a beautiful unspoiled beach in a laid back resort town. Maybe to surf, but mostly to relax. Well, first you need to fly into this major city, San Jose. Don’t spent too much time there, it’s not really a destination. Then you need to hop onto a packed shuttle bus for many, many hours to get to the Caribbean coast. And then … paradise? Maybe, maybe not. Because Puerto Viejo ISN'T what I expected to find.
