Koh Yao Yai is located just to the east side of Phuket, it's about a 40 minute journey on a speedboat or 1hr 30 mins on a ferry. It's a beautiful island that is still untouched by major tourism like many of the well know islands in Thailand!

We decided to stay at the luxurious Santhiya Resorts and Spas whilst we were here. Mainly to give my Dad and Mum some quality luxury living time as you don't get this kind of WOW factor anywhere in Scotland.

The resort isn't the cheapest on the island but you really do get what you're paying for. I rented the Royal Grand Pool Villa (Best villa available) and it set me back about $5000 for 4 nights.

They do have many cheaper options available which you can see on their website or plenty of other 3rd party travel and booking websites/apps.
