Having been assigned a midday shift on the date the video was recorded, I was on my way to work and then, I saw it: the beautiful double decker consist LIRR uses as the express train with the exception of certain branches. Not wanting to waste a given opportunity, I got my iPad and started recording. What also made this trip extra special was that we wasn't on the track closest to the platform like I am normally used to.
