The pending birth a new baby for Spike and Snake inspires Emma to search for her birth father. With some detective work, Emma discovers that her father, Shane, lives just outside the city. She convinces Craig to skip school with her to go in search of her dad, but the man she finds is not who she expects: Shane is mentally challenged and living in a group home.
Emma returns home incensed at the lies she’s been told about Shane and puts Spike and Snake in the hot seat. Things go from bad to worse the next day when Shane arrives at Spike’s door in the hopes of reconstructing the family he lost. When Shane lashes out at Spike upon hearing she’s married to Snake, Spike goes into labour and it’s up to Emma to talk him down. With the birth of her new baby brother, Emma understands that her real Dad has been at her side the entire time- Snake.
Spinner and Paige have spent the entire summer as the most lovey-dovey couple of all time. But with their 6 month anniversary fast approaching, he can’t afford to buy her a worthy present. Until he realizes that Paige deserves the perfect locker. Will his wheeling and dealing snag the locker and impress his girl?
Season 3 opens with the pending arrival of a new baby for Spike and Snake, inspiring Emma to start a search for her birth father just as she starts high school. Her friends and fellow schoolmates also face new challenges as they settle into a new school year. Degrassi kids will continue to deal with tough issues this year, including homosexuality, cutting, abuse, teen pregnancy and cancer. These storylines are blended with dating woes, friendship challenges, peer pressure and a healthy dose of fun and laughter.
