U.S. Marines with 2d Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 2d Marine Division, prepare, load and transfer light-armored vehicles onto U.S. Navy landing craft air cushions (LCAC) during a training exercise on Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Dec. 6, 2022. The main purpose of an LCAC is to transport weapons systems, equipment, cargo and personnel of the assault elements of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force from ship-to-shore and across the beach.
