Has anyone ever shamed you for the way you look? 

A coach scolded Anita for having body hair. He made every girl at the volleyball practice raise their arms: “You see? There’s nothing. That’s what a girl is supposed to look like”. Anita tried to keep her cool, explaining that body hair was natural and didn’t impact her performance in any way. But the coach insisted that the main thing for girls in sports was “to look good”. Anita refused to shave, now out of principle. So, the coach removed her from the team and said that no one would want to work with an athlete like her. 

Rachel, the team captain, approached the coach, saying that Anita was their best player. They wouldn’t win without her. But the man stood his ground. He didn’t care about her skills. Just her appearance.
