This will no doubt upset family and old friends. They will be saddened at the length of my hair for one; and secondly, the flippant cocky way i have portrayed my treatment by them, as dictated to them by the Watchtower, Bible and Tract Society. Had the policy to not shun perfectly decent people for having an honest point of view in all good conscience been in force, then i wouldn't feel the need to mock their behaviour. Perhaps the people who make the decisions at the top of the Jehovah's Witnesses organisation will realise that they cannot continue to glorify an archaic system of discipline that puts them in the 'cult' category. Perhaps they will one day acknowledge that their holy book is not holy at all and is nothing but a collection of old beliefs cultivated out of myths and dreams at a time of ignorance when mankind knew no better. To judge others as ''mentally diseased'', worthy of stoning in another time, on such flimsy grounds, is a big gamble - one which i regret and am sure many will come to also.
