Suprascapular Nerve
Spinal Nerve Root Levels - C5-C6
Arises from brachial plexus superior trunk.
Enters supraspinatus fossa through suprascapular notch.
In supraspinatus fossa, suprascapular nerve has two branches
1) To Supraspinatus and 2) Superior shoulder joint.
Nerve then travels around lateral margin of scapular spine, through spinoglenoid notch and into infraspinatus fossa to supply infraspinatus and posterior glenohumeral jt.
Motor: Supraspinatus and Infraspinatus.
Sensory: Acromioclavicular and Glenohumeral Joints.
