The EU Commission has set up 6 pilot lines to support the European industry for integrated photonics manufacturing. The Pilot Lines aim to produce larger quantities of prototypes so that companies of all sizes can have access to a manufacturing vehicle for volume production in photonics, in Europe.
The EU Pilot Lines in Photonics are EC funded initiatives in a public-private partnership with Photonics21 (www.photonics21.org)
