President Joe Biden speaks at the White House reception honoring the recipients of the 47th Kennedy Center Honors: acclaimed director and filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola; legendary American rock band the Grateful Dead (Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Bobby Weir); blues rock singer-songwriter and guitarist Bonnie Raitt; jazz trumpeter, pianist, and composer Arturo Sandoval; and The Apollo, receiving a special Honors as an iconic American institution.

The event took place in the East Room of the White House on December 8th, 2024.
