RUMINATIONS: This episode had me first doing some light color correcting after comparing my footage to how Nash looked in his cameo. I was half-tempted to do some more color correction for the reupload, buuuut I have a lot of things on my plate and not enough time to go through it. Still, these days I’ve done more and more color correction to fix the white balance a bit.
The problem with the Star Wars expanded universe material is that there’s just so much of it and the sad fact is that since Star Wars has mostly focused around movies, it’s more difficult to pick out something to review, especially when it comes to bad things. Star Trek is easier because the majority of its episodes are meant to be stand-alones. Sure, there’s some serialized content, but most of the time it’s episodic. As such, it’s much easier to find a crappy comic that was probably fit in somewhere at random. Fortunately, stuff like this – taking the old material and looking at it through a different lens – is pretty interesting to me, so I enjoy the chance to do so.
