The dust has settled on Budget 2018 and the fine print is now being examined.

“The most important thing that we want to do in this Budget is be prudent,” the Taoiseach said in his opening statement.

“To safeguard the future for our country, to enable families and business and people to plan for the future, and that’s why we decided that we would balance the books for the first time in ten years.”
