The cast of Coronation Street have been discussing Hayley Cropper's exit from the show, backstage at the National TV Awards. The actress who plays Hayley, Julie Hesmondhalgh, picked up the best serial drama performance gong on Wednesday night. Her character had terminal cancer and ended her own life. Corrie also beat other soaps EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks to win best serial drama. Report by Mark Morris.
