Clips from the penultimate venue on Carters Steam Fair's last ever tour . For many followers of Carters this was one final opportunity to visit the outstanding collection of vintage rides and games before the very last event in Reading at the end of the month . Huge numbers of people flooded the village green to enjoy the fair and by the time the fireworks went up the place was jam packed with crowds meandering through the tightly knit fairground which created an incredibly vibrant and memorable atmosphere . Seeing queue lines stretching around the full perimetrer of each ride with eager riders watching the machines as they waited their turn was like stepping back in time and it truly generated an extra buzz around the place . Here are some shots of the fireworks ( which had a very good finale ) and superb vintage rides . I have to confess much of my attention was constantly drawn to the pristine examples of their Skid and Octopus . Filmed on Saturday 8th of October 2022 at Holyport Green , Holyport , Maidenhead.
