Hello everybody, The Young and the Restless or Power and Desire as the series was called in Swedish for a period, is an American soap opera, which was broadcast on CBS and was shown for the first time on March 26, 1973. The series was created by William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell who created the fictional city of Genoa City, Wisconsin where the entire series takes place. When the series debuted on American television, the plot originally revolved around two families living in the city of Genoa City, the rich Brooks family and the poor Foster family.
Swedish TV4 has for several periods shown the series to Swedish viewers under the name Power and Desire, but after several changes to the broadcast time, the series disappeared from the charts. In 2009, General Hospital made a comeback on TV4 Plus, which meant that many fans now hoped that Power and Desire would also make a comeback on TV4 Plus, which it did not. General Hospital also disappeared from the charts after several time changes.
