High CAC in Performance Marketing, higher commissions + ads on Marketplaces, and long working capital cycles in offline distribution is killing the distribution channels that worked for the past 3 years.
Do the following 3 things instead ASAP!
👉🏼 Listing on Blinkit and Zepto before your competitors
This will require constant follow up and sitting on the category managers’ head. But pick the fastest moving items from your entire portfolio, and only pitch 5% of your total SKUs (i.e. 20% of 20% - super Pareto) for listing with them.
Revenues from Quick Commerce are beating those from online marketplaces at an exceeding rate, and this is your time to ride on the tailwind.
Till 4 months ago, if you would search toys on Blinkit, you would only find either toys for pets or adults (ahem)... but now kids’ toys are also listed.
Lots of whitespaces getting filled up fast.

The Founder needs to make a page where organic everyday reels showcasing “building in public” as well as educating consumers on the industry is the fastest way to build loyalty.
Keep all performance marketing for the brand page, and never for the founder page. The latter will see far more growth.
👉🏼 Move your Community to WhatsApp
Start a Community for your audience on WhatsApp that educates and enables value add dialogue among folks interested in the same subject.
Target community members individually through relationship based messaging to build subscription revenue.
👉🏼 Immediately find ways to get listed on Amazon UAE and US
Very few have been able to crack the model, but there’s a vast Indian diaspora in these countries, who are starved of newer options.
Get on Amazon Global, tie up with offline intermediaries. I’ve spoken a great deal about ways to do this in the past.
