The video opens with F23 coming to the nest with a full crop! She does some digging and then M15 will fly in with stick #1! He places it on the rails and then to do some nest work, both digging & aerating the nesting material. M15 will lie in the nest and test it out - the first of three times!
Both M15 & F23 go to the attic - F23 is on the outer inner branch furthest from the cam.We have some nice closeups of her in the fading sunlight. F23 will start to do some neck/crop gyrations which is simply moving food from her crop and lower esophagus down to her upper stomach for digestion.
M15 flies off the attic and brings stick #2 to the nest - a nice large puzzle stick. M15 figures out where to put this stick and then he lies in the nest for a second time! You have to love our nest potato! ♥ F23 will arrive and land on the side nest rails and send a big stick up straight up in the air! Of course F23 has to help and they have more beak discussions!
M15 leaves and F23 remains in the nest doing a lot of digging! M15 comes back and they have round two of nest work and beak discussions as the light begins to fade. M15 lies in the nest for a third time then will go to the attic. F23 remains to do more digging. Then F23 will test out the nest too! Notice she is lying right over the log!! M15 will fly off the attic and F23 will follow as they head past the church to roost. Thank you for watching!
