It takes a little effort and understanding, but you could save hundreds of dollars on prescriptions.
First, gather your bills, and see which of you medicines are the most expensive, and start with the priciest one first. Follow these steps with each prescription.
1. Is there a generic drug to replace your brand name drug?
2. If there is no generic available, is there another drug in the same class, that has a generic equivalent?
3. If not, is there a drug in another class, that treats the same condition in another way, that has a generic option.
4. Search Costco prices.... [ Ссылка ]
Walmart $4 list.... [ Ссылка ]
Target $4 list.... [ Ссылка ]
5. Compare your copay you pay for drugs, either at the local pharmacy, or thru your mail away plan, and see if it might be cheaper to pay cash than to use your insurance.
6. If you are paying cash, can you buy the larger dose and cut the pill in half and get 2 doses for the price of one. (You will need to confirm if the pill can safely be cut in half without changing the delivery of the medication.)
7. Is there a saving by buying 90-100 days at a time as opposed to 30 at a time.
I would avoid buying medications from on-line foreign sources, many of these drugs may be counterfeit, or contain dangerous impurities.
