Whether you're looking for The Roaches circular walk, a Luds Church circular walk, or finding it difficult to choose from the many Peak District easy walks, I'd highly recommend part of the route we take in this video to undertake what was in our opinion, a relatively easy Peak District ridge walk. We begin the day parking in one of the many layby's on Roach Road between Hen Cloud and The Roaches. It was then a short walk to the Don Whillans Memorial Hut at the foot of The Roaches where we walked through the mossy woods surrounded by mist and fog. We then walk The Roaches ridgeline in what feels like the most perfect weather we could have asked for, reaching The Roaches trig point with not too much effort. We then descend into woods which lead us to the magical Lud's Church, UK. As busy as I'd expected it to be on Easter weekend, but surprisingly much shorter than I had I expected it to be, it was still stunning! The return journey took us back across the ridge we'd missed by going via Luds church and then into the valley on the North Eastern side of The Roaches - which was about the point where I decided that this part of the walk is what I'd recommend cutting out and instead, you go back via The Roaches ridgeline. Based on the number of dogs we saw on this trail, it looks to be an excellent Peak District dog walk.
