Representing President Benigno S. Aquino III, Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning Office Secretary Ricky Carandang leads the official launch of YouTube Philippines at the Blue Leaf Events Pavilion in McKinley Hill, Taguig City.
YouTube, the world's largest online video sharing community, introduces its very first localized site in Southeast Asia. YouTube Philippines offers a local interface to easily access favourite videos and contents most relevant to Filipinos from its local and global partners. The latest addition to the site and simultaneous with the launch, are the Presidential channels www.youtube.com/govph and www.youtube.com/rtvmalacanang.
Initial partners for YouTube Philippines include TV stations ABS-CBN, GMA Network Inc. and TV5, record labels Star Records, Viva Records and Vicor Records, Oak3 and the Filipino Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (FILSCAP).
