Bosnian Government forces are reported to be in control of Mount Vlasic in central Bosnia after a week of heavy fighting.
Bosnian television says the government flag is flying from a communications tower on the mountain, though Bosnian Serb radio says Serbs are still in control and are consolidating their positions.
APTV cameras have been following the Bosnian Government offensive on the mountain over the past four days.
The current ceasefire agreement between the warring factions in Bosnia is already in tatters, and neither side wants it extended.
In the high hills of central Bosnia, above the town of Travnik, government forces now have the upper hand after a major offensive.
Their victory not only prevents the Serbs from shelling key Bosnian towns, it also means government forces can now mount long-range attacks on the Serbian stronghold of Banja Luka.
Both sides are now poised for a bitter war in the coming months.
Bosnia's Prime Minister, who visited his forces on Mount Vlasic today, is angry at the international community, whom he accuses of sacrificing Bosnia to prevent a wider Balkans conflict.
SOUNDBITE:
" So far as I can see the basic concept is to contain the problem within Bosnia. If the Bosnians die, too bad for them. That is the basic concept and that remains the basic concept. As long as that concept is valid, there is no peace in Bosnia-Herzegovina."

Serb forces are now reported to be preparing a counter-offensive. And the international community seems unable to do anything to stop a further escalation.
