Tensions are rising between Taiwan and China after China’s Coast Guard boarded a Taiwanese ship.
It is seen as a response to the recent drowning of two Chinese fishermen in Taiwan-controlled seas.
Taiwan's Ocean Affairs Council Chair Kuan Bi-Ling has released a statement on the incident:
“Why should people be made to feel panicked and frightened?
“I think it is regrettable.
“I hope this incident can be over soon.”
