German rail workers caused travel chaos on Monday when their union GDL called a three-hour strike in a pay dispute.
The stoppage hit commuter, regional and long-distance trains across the country.
More strikes are planned over the coming weeks as GDL pursues a 5 percent pay increase and a shorter working week.
