In our last track day for 2020, we head back out to Wakefield Park with a special invitation from Track Day Club. We had the privilege to track race a 500rwkw HSV GTS (LSA, camshaft upgrade, blower spacer, boost pulley upgrade, bigger injectors, tuned) as well as our own Holden Commodore VE SS NASCAR inspired track ute. We wanted to use this day as our final shake-down track day for 2020 to fully scrub in our Yokohama Advan A050 semi-slick tyres in readiness for our Supercharged LS7 VF SSV Redline (Clunie) to hit the track in the new year once our roll cage and race seats are fitted.
Lots of exotic race cars on display, however, track temperatures were very high and no personal best lap times were possible - over 38 degrees. We learnt a lesson in the need to roll our guards as our new Yokohama semi-slicks worked very well to address our understeer issues but the sidewalls came off a little worse for wear!
