In this clip Alvin Guinanao, Chief Instructor of Silat Open Circle - Presents "Pukulan Seminar". Recorded live in Dundee University, Scotland hosted by SBL Apprentice Instructor Chris Clarke.
In this clip Alvin take's the group through hard conditioning specific for taking hits to the body. Pukulan is the striking element to Silat and each silat school have their own way of training it. In SBL it is standard to start a Pukulan drill with a base posture before adding footwork until the student stops flinching from attacks and in return responds naturally to them by countering freely. Here you see you can see rhythm change in striking and how each strike opens up to the next.
You can now come and experience Silat Open Circle in person at one of Alvin's SBL seminar. Seminars are open to the public, martial artist of all levels, both male and female.
