The Toronto Transit Commission is participating in a new pilot program aimed at reducing carbon emissions by using electric buses for public transit. The TTC hopes to have an entirely electric fleet by 2050 and is currently weighing the high cost of the vehicles against fuel savings and environmental benefits.
