On Tuesday 30th June 2020 a Turkish Airforce C-130E Hercules arrived at Prestwick from the US. The weather on the day was rather changeable and predictably Scottish, but just prior to the aircrafts arrival the sun made a welcomed appearance and it made for a cracking sunset with some lovely light and vivid summer sunset colours.
This exact aircraft had passed through Prestwick the previous week on the outbound leg from Turkey to the US and its was a cracking and welcomed visitor on the aircrafts homeward bound journey. The aircraft is expect to stopover at Prestwick and depart for Turkey on the 2nd July.
This particular aircraft (63-13186) is the older C-130E variant of the popular Lockheed C-130 Hercules family, first built in 1963 making this aircraft 57 yrs old.
