How to convert a camera for Infrared (IR) night vision. I'm showing how to remove the IR filter inside of a camera to make a homemade night vision camera. Only do this to a old camera that you will not be using for day filming, also you may damage the camera in the process. There are many ways to make a night vision camera setup, I'm showing two ways in this video. The camera I used was a really low quality 720p camera probably only 480. If you have a better camera you might get better results and also could be used for night photography. I also show how I made a homemade IR flashlight, I just used a IR array from a security camera and installed it into an old flashlight. Cost $4 for the security camera IR array, camera was free. Second built $6 reverse camera using the same IR flashlight. This is not true night vision this is just IR like most security cameras, real night vision takes light from the environment and than enhances the image. Of course you can buy an IR night vision device and flashlight fairly cheap now but this is for educational purposes. You could also use a IP camera and connect to a battery than connect to wifi on your phone and use IR flashlight.
