In this video I trucked in gravel to backfill the 40 x 40 shop to get it ready to pour the floor. I also installed a footer drain around the shop, and installed a floor drain in the shop. I laid down 2.5" thick sheets of styrofoam under the concrete to help eliminate cold transfer from the earth into the floor. I rented an 1100lb diesel packer to pack the floor in the garage and it worked well, the floor shouldn't ever sink.
