I’d like for you to take a moment to appreciate your hand and finger dexterity. Appreciate the different shapes your hand and fingers can form, appreciate the precision and accuracy your fingers are capable of. This is what sets us apart from a lot of living creatures on this planet 🌎

Now think about shoving your hand and fingers in a pair of mittens for 12+ hours a day, do you think your hand and finger skillset would change? If you don’t use it ↔️ you lose it, I really do believe in this statement. That is also why I think most people have difficulty with performing the exercises demonstrated in this post ➡️ we simply do not use our feet and toes enough 🦶🏻Next time you put on a pair of shoes, ask yourself function or fashion❓Be real with yourself too, are those shoes even comfortable❓

Let’s be honest, we wear fashionable shoes too from time to time. However, we also take care of our feet and challenge them on a daily basis. I try to spend as much time as I can barefoot, workout 1-2x/week barefoot, and ultimately practice TOE DEXTERITY. Having the ability and capacity to move your toes around as you wish, independently move your big toe and your small toes from one another, and controlling your arch is SO IMPORTANT.

If you have difficulty with these exercises, practice them daily 1-2x/day for just 1️⃣-2️⃣ sets and your performance will improve! Having toe dexterity is an important skill as most functional movements start from the ground up ↕️. Tag us in your practice and we will share it!
