The goal of the Pediatric Thyroid Center at CHOP is to improve the lifelong health of children with thyroid disease, and research is the key to accomplishing that goal. Among many areas of study, CHOP researchers are creating a tissue repository to better understand the molecular mechanisms involved in the development of thyroid nodules or thyroid cancer, which will help them to develop improved therapies.
