Halifax. Canada has suffered the loss of a prominent GLBTQ activist, Raymond Taavel who was brutally murdered on April 17, 2012. A hate crime perpetrated by a man suffering from mental illness, Raymond would be the first to forgive. He leaves a legacy of justice-fighting and joy in our community.
