While filming routine coverage of flight evaluation trials on 27th January 1969 at Dunsfold, Surrey, England, this tragic accident was caught on camera. The pilot, Major C. Rosburg USAF, lost lateral control of the MK1 XV743 Harrier while in an accelerating transition. He ejected horizontally, but did not survive the crash.
