The War Thunder community seems to be pretty split over the T55E1. Some say it's horrible and useless, some say it's insanely powered and is the next EBR. Usually when opinions are so polarized, it's safe to say the truth is generally somewhere in the middle. In my time playing the T55E1, I can confirm it's a pretty OK tank destroyer. It's fast and the gun is good, but the armor is nonexistent and it cannot turn save its life. That and the traverse on the gun is pretty bad. I'd say it's worth getting from the battlepass. Let's hope that Gaijin keeps adding balanced tanks as rewards for it.
