Current Situation: A weather system will be pushing southeastwards bringing showery rain and introducing cooler air as it does so...
Today:
Saturday begins mostly dry but there's a lot of low cloud, mist and fog across the country. A band of rain is heading into the far west of Scotland and temperatures are relatively mild.
Through the rest of the day a band of heavy rain will push southeastwards across Scotland and Northern Ireland while England and Wales stays mostly dry with a few bright or sunny spells once early mist and fog patches have cleared.
Temperatures range from 10C to 16C so a relatively mild late October day.
Tonight:
The band of rain pushes southeastwards across England and Wales, fizzling out as it does so. Clear spells will follow along behind and we could see a frost in the north with temperatures of 0C to 9C north to south.
Tomorrow:
England and Wales will stay mostly dry with morning sunshine being replaces by afternoon cloud while Scotland and Northern Ireland sees outbreaks of rain spreading eastwards. A cool day with temperatures of 8C to 13C.
Outlook:
Monday: Rain becoming lighter and patchy across England and Wales with drier weather in the north. Milder again.
Tuesday: A few showers for England and Wales but most places dry and mild.
Wednesday: Rain in the far north of Scotland but the majority of the country dry with sunny spells.
