Audio recording of Mac & Norman Luna, from their album, Harvestime Reflections 2. Thanks goes to Dale Lee for sending me a CD copy which he had transferred from an original cassette which had been given to him by Mac and Norman. Dale met the Lunas in 1964 while he was stationed in Alaska. While in Alaska he attended the church they pastored and became good friends with them. The Luna's have a marvelous story with their beginnings with Wayne Raney. They wrote songs such as Jack and Jill Boogie, Story Of the Orphan, and I Want To Live With Mommy There. All three were recorded by Wayne Raney when he and the band were with King Records. Mac actually sings lead on Jack and Jill Boogie, with Norman singing harmony and Wayne Raney playing the harmonica. The Lunas later were all saved in a tent revival. They later were called into the ministry, serving as pastors and missionaries. My interest in them came about after finding an old reel to reel tape of a church service in which the Lunas were preaching, teaching, and singing. My research has determined that the tape was recorded in Anchorage Alaska where they served as pastors and missionaries. from 1962 through 1972. Their music is such a blessing. They were not only gifted in singing and writing music, but also in playing various instruments.
