Police in Sri Lanka have warned they will arrest people who do not practise safe distancing. The country has eased a 24-hour curfew in Colombo and neighbouring Gampaha, but a night-time curfew from 10pm to 4am remains in place. People are now allowed to leave their homes for work or to buy essential goods. Travel between provinces is also permitted. However, schools, restaurants, cinemas and other non-essential businesses remain shut.
