Many people die in Bangladesh each year due to cold and hypothermia.
G&Y has been providing winter blanket each year to help poor and needy people keep warm in the chilly winter since 2009. Alhamdulillah to date, we have distributed around 8,000 blankets in many different areas of Bangladesh.
In 2017 Goreeb & Yateem Trust Fund distributed over 2,000 winter blankets to some of the poorest people in Bangladesh. The distribution of blankets took place in Sylhet, Manikgonj, Rajnogor, Habigonj, Biswanath, Moulvibazar, Sreemongol, Balagonj, Sunamgonj, Kumilla, Dhaka and Kanaigat and many other places. The cost of one blanket is £10.
