Chandrayaan 2 is India's second lunar exploration mission.Developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)
This mission will help us gain a better understanding of the origin and evolution of the Moon by conducting detailed topographical studies.

Chandrayaan 2 mission consists of three major components:
1:Orbiter
2:Lander-Vikram Lander
3:Rover-Pragyan

The main scientific objective is to map the location and quantity of lunar water.

Chandrayaan 2 details and operation :
The orbiter will orbit the Moon at an altitude of 100 km and The Orbiter will observe the lunar surface and relay communication between Earth and Chandrayaan 2's Lander.
The Vikram lander will detach from the orbiter and fall downwards to a low lunar orbit of 30 km × 100 km.
The lander and the rover will land on the near side of the Moon,in the south polar region and rover will move on 6 wheels travels 500 meters on the lunar surface at the rate of 1 cm per second, performing on-site chemical analysis.For Navigation it contains NAVCAMs in front of the rover will provide the ground control team a 3D view of the surrounding terrain, and help in path-planning by generating a digital elevation model. sending the data to the lander, which will relay it to the Mission Control on the Earthh.
