The Georgian Symphony Orchestra put on a Christmas matinée for the kids that was magical; they did the Toy Symphony, a sing-along medley (ever sang to a full live orchestra?) and of course, Sleighride. The kids, as you can see, loved it as much as the orchestra loved doing it. This is what I mean by making our art CONNECT with the primal art-need of the people. Bravo GBSO!
This video is off a $12 hand-held (no viewfinder) webcam, with 8k sound, so it is but a shadow of the Real Thing, but I have news for you, that super-fine full-frame HDTV with 48K stereo thx-dolby sound is STILL no more than a pale shadow of the REAL experience of a live orchestra -- never fool yourself otherwise: an orchestra is far more than just a bunch of instruments making noises together! If you want the real experience, I'm sorry, you have to get out there and feel the living power for yourself!
