This is a 30 minute full body yoga conditioning sequence. Part 2 of the Strong Body, Calm Mind series of classes shot on location at Wilson's Promontory National Park. This series will focus on building strength utilising body weight and gravity. Some classes in the series will feature longer holds, slow, conscious movement and other classes will explore a quicker pace changing and progressing the loads in the sequences as the series progresses.
Ideal if you don't already have a dedicated strength training program and you'd like to tone and strengthen your body and mind through your yoga practice. Including a strength routine into your movement sessions can be so beneficial. Improving bone density, strengthening your joints, stronger muscles, injury prevention and creating more lean muscle, helping to boost your metabolism.
In order to build strength, your routine needs to be progressive. This series starts with a sequence that prioritises form and breath, moving through your active ROM, then each additional class follows a similar sequence offering a little more intensity through repetition, sets and load through variations.
No non yoga equipment is required. Using body weight resistance only.
Practice class 1 - up to 3 times a week for 4-5 weeks, then class 2 and 3 for the same duration as they’re released.
Classes will include a brief warm up and cool down and rest stops along the way.
