Vanessa Paradis stars in a dreamy meditation on love with a supernatural twist.

In present-day Montreal, club DJ Antoine (Kevin Parent) should be happy with his lot. He's hugely successful, with a large following and a passionate relationship with his beautiful girlfriend, Rose (Evelyne Brochu). But Antoine is still obsessed with Carole (Helene Florent), his childhood sweetheart and the mother of his children. Carole also mourns the loss of her soulmate. Back in 1969 Paris, single parent Jacqueline (Vanessa Paradis) struggles to raise her beloved son Laurent (Martin Gerrier), who was born with Down's Syndrome. Across time, there seems to be a strange connection between Carole and Jacqueline. Canadian director Jean-Marc Vallee, whose previous films have included 'C.R.A.Z.Y.' and 'The Young Victoria', juggles the two strands of this complex and intriguing love story with great skill. The film is driven by brilliant use of music, ranging from Pink Floyd to Sigur Ros.
