Hey everyone! In this vlog, we discuss Disney's new DAS (Disability Access Service) Pass. We've seen many horror stories online about how difficult it has become to get a DAS Pass now. We've been using the DAS Pass for a few years because my son suffers from anxiety and asthma, so we decided to try again. Unfortunately, we received the same response as many others: we no longer qualify. Instead, we were given alternative options like ride swap, asking cast members if we can go to the front, or reentering the line later.
I've heard of some people getting approved when they call back, but we are taking our chances and hoping my son doesn't have an asthma attack. We'll be prepared with his inhaler and nebulizer machine, but I'm disappointed with how Disney is handling the new DAS system. It almost feels like they're pushing people to buy Genie+ or the upcoming Lightning Lane instead. While I understand they had to address DAS abuse, it seems they've gone to the extreme.
I also know what to say to potentially get a DAS Pass, but I refuse to abuse the system and will just hope for the best. I sympathize with those who truly need the DAS Pass and are still getting denied. I hope Disney will focus more on approving people with genuine medical conditions rather than the correct verbiage.
