This is the beginning of my journey to the Continent of Antarctica with the Australian Antarctic Division for the 2022 - 2023 Season.
I will be a Wintering expeditioner so that requires me to be down in Antarctica for a full 12 - 13 months straight.
I will be based at Wilkins Aerodrome as a Plant Operator to build and maintain a Blue Ice runway on a glacier 70km inland from Casey Research Station.
The first 2 months of my employment with the AAD will be various training exercises around Hobart and Melbourne, looking to deploy by plane around the 26th October.
