Mellow Sound. If you want to upgrade your S550 GT's exhaust, but don't want something too loud, this Borla Touring 2.5" Catback is ideal. It has Touring mufflers and a mid-pipe resonator, which keep the sound level from getting too crazy and gives it a deep tone without any rasp. In other words, you get a more classic muscle car sound that will be noticed, without being annoying loud. This system allows exhaust gases to flow faster than the stock parts, so it does help free up some power. Just remember that this catback only works for 2015 to 2017 Ford Mustang GT Fastback models. Great Materials. Borla makes this catback out of T-304 stainless steel, so it's strong and durable. The tubing is 2.5 inches in diameter with mandrel bends, while the tips measure 4 inches and have the Borla logo embossed on them. Bolt-On Install. This catback is an easy upgrade to install, because it just bolts on where the stock system goes. That means no drilling or cutting are involved in the process, and you only need basic tools like sockets and wrenches. Of course, you also need a lift or jack stands to work under the car, plus about an hour or two to get this project wrapped up.
