Portosystemic Collaterals In CLD With HCC & PV Thrombosis || Ultrasound || Doppler || Case 176
Clinical Features:
An elderly male patient came with
- Abdominal pain.
- Abdominal distension.
Ultrasound Features:
- Irregular enlarged liver with coarse parenchyma & SOL in the right lobe.
- Dilated portal vein with luminal thrombus & cavernous transformation.
- Thrombus in the splenic vein.
- Splenomegaly with splenorenal varices.
- Gastroesophageal varices.
- Recanalized paraumbilical vein & dilated caudate vein.
Remember:
Color Doppler is a useful tool to diagnose portal hypertension as well as to assess portosystemic collaterals.
