Red-bellied woodpecker fledgling "begs for food" as it follows father around tree trunks and through Spanish moss at Circle B Bar Reserve in Lakeland, Florida. Sometimes swinging on hanging moss and other times getting tangled up in it, the fledgling still needs guidance and practice away from the nest. Males have red heads and red on the nape of their necks, while females only have red on the napes of their necks. Fledglings have a slight blush color on head.
