Little Scientist #6: Homemade Solar Oven
Objective: To make a homemade solar oven using pizza box / shoes box with materials that could be easily found at home.
Description:
A homemade solar oven works by catching sunlight using a reflector (aluminium foil) and reflecting it onto a black surface (black sheet of paper). The black surface transforms the light into heat and the plastic wrapper is used to trap the heat inside the oven.
Materials needed:
Pizza box / shoes box
Glue
Cutter
Ruler
Aluminium foil
Transparent plastic wrapper
Black paper
Newspaper (Optional)
