(6 Sep 1962) Stirling Moss, making his first public appearance at a race track since his crash last Easter, dropped in at Oulton Park. Among 27 drivers for the International Gold Cup were the present leader in the Driver's World Championship, Graham Hill, Jim Clark (his nearest rival) with the Lotus 25, and Innes Ireland. Jim Clark led from the word "go" with a beautiful performance, and went on to win way ahead of the field. Clark received his award from the winner of the trophy for the previous 3 years, Stirling Moss.
