Some key features of Ruslan's improvisation which we can appropriate into our musical vocabulary:
- Anchoring melodic lines on the 9ths & 11ths.
- Outlining inverted triads with leading tones.
- Outlining seventh chords with leading tones.
- Outlining the pentatonic scale with leading tones.
- Use of blues scales.
